PANTALLA EN LÍNEA: Panel previo a la Asamblea General de Interpol - 21 de noviembre de 2023

La semana pasada, Red Notice Monitor (RNM) organizó una mesa redonda para debatir las prioridades de la Asamblea General (AG) anual de Interpol, que comienza mañana, 28 de noviembre, y se prolongará hasta el 1 de diciembre de 2023, en Viena.

La AG de este año tiene un significado simbólico, ya que en 2023 se celebrará la Centenario de la fundación de Interpol también en la ciudad de Viena.

Al tiempo que apoya plenamente a Interpol en su misión de facilitar la cooperación policial en la lucha contra la delincuencia internacional, la RNM se propone arrojar luz sobre la labor de Interpol en un momento de creciente preocupación por la falta de transparencia de su trabajo, en general, y, en particular, por la forma en que los Estados miembros han abusado de los procedimientos de Interpol.

Editor de RNM Roger Sahota presidió un grupo de expertos compuesto por Bill Browder , Dr. Ted R. Bromund , Meg Hobbins y Ben Keith .

Rhys Davies Barrister

Rhys Davies is a barrister at Temple Garden Chambers and co-founder of IHR Advisors. He specialises in INTERPOL Red Notice challenges, extradition, international criminal law and human rights law. He co-authored the report Undue Influence: the UAE and Interpol with Sir David Calvert-Smith, and has provided expert commentary on Interpol to CBS 60 Minutes, Sky News and City AM.
